DEBBIE'S KITCHEN: #MY HOBBY SATURDAY!
Hello Readers,
Happy weekend to You.
As you'll get to find out things about me*(30 things about me... a future topic!), know first that cooking is my hobby and what makes it very interesting for me, is my love for new recipes.
Today however, I'm bringing to you one of my favorite sauce ingredients and method of preparation.
IRISH POTATO SAUCE.
Ingredients:
1.) Irish potatoes
2.) Onion
3.) Fresh Tomatoes (optional)
4.) Fresh Red pepper (optional)
5.) Green pepper
6.) Green peas (optional)
7.) French Beans
8.) Carrots
9.) Salt
10.) Vegetable Oil
11.) Maggi Cubes
12.) Chicken (optional)
Method:
A.) After getting all your vegetables chopped as well as. The Irish potatoes... 'I like getting everything ready before I start any food preparations;
B.) Use the seasoned chicken water to boil the chopped Irish potatoes (that's if you're using chicken, if not, just boil the chopped Irish potatoes in a salted water until its cooked);
C.) Place your cooking pot or deep frying pan on the cooker and pour in your vegetable oil;
D.) As soon as it heats, add a little salt to it then add your onion and fry a little (not too much), then add every other vegetables chopped after which you add your chicken seasoning spice then stir gently;
E.) Add your boiled chicken and also the boiled Irish potatoes together with the water of the seasoned chicken (the chicken stock);
F.) Allow it to all stem together for about 3 minutes, then taste for salt;
G.) Serve hot with boiled white rice and a glass of water or juice.
Enough with the corn flour for sauce. Try something different.
Please try it out and tell me what you think!!!!!
My friend and learned colleague, Oge Onyema has tried this recipe severally because she tells me its delicious.
You too can do same.
Bye for now.
Hugs & Kisses.
